He had brain surgery, (he had 3 tumours, only 1 could be removed- the size of his fist), radiation, chemo, stem cell treatment, and then more rounds of radiation; too much pain for anyone to go through. After surgery he couldn't hold up his head or move his arms.
Grandmas prayer as his little body laid there was that he would be able to once again hold his favorite "B". It was hard to believe that a body could endure so much.
Not knowing any better, our words and prayers were " IF it is Gods will, He will be ok. At this time, we didn't know the true WILL OF GOD.
Then began our journey of miracles.
God has a wonderful way of leading you to the truth, if we listen and obey.
We had heard of some type of "healing service" at Living Word Christian Centre". The message we both received that night changed our lives.
As we continued to attend services, we learnt about Gods love, faithfulness, healing, and the power of our confession. We learnt that GODS WILL is not that maybe you will, maybe you won't be healed. Jesus willing went to the Cross for all of us, promising us complete healing. (Isaiah 53:5).
We began to speak life, not medical facts. (II Corinthians 4:13) For grandma it was hard to say that her grandson was healed as she watched what he was going through. But we all stood on Gods promises of healing. Slowly, the words spoken made their way from the mouth to the heart. Faith was growing.
II Corinthians 4:18 says "we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever."
Our son's hospital stay and treatment totalled 9 months. As we stood by his hospital bed reading healing scriptures, he grew stronger and stronger. Gods healing power was working in our lives also.
Peace, an interesting word. You really don't know what peace is until you don't have it. True peace comes from God. (John 14:27).
He started walking November, 2008, the day he and his little brother Isaiah were dedicated to the LORD at church. He slowly started talking March, 2012. He will be 11 this June and is grade 5. He is our little miracle, completely healed and whole.
We are so thankful every day. Thankful for Gods love. Thankful for the healing power of the blood Jesus shed at the cross for us all. Thankful for pastors David and Arlene, who teach the true Word of God. (Hosea 4:6), and a church that has become such an important part of our lives.
